Anchored in Faith, Your Soul...Our Mission
Today, growing into adulthood means learning to make decisions about drugs, crime, gangs, peer pressure, and more. For more than 90 years the Boy Scouts of America have provided a strong, values-driven program that strengthens character, develops good citizenship and enhances both mental and physical fitness in participating youth—traits that prepare young people to make the appropriate decisions for the present and the future
As a member of the Boy Scouts of America, each boy is joining an organization of more than four million members who participate in camping and other outdoor activities and in challenging advancement programs that develop self-reliance and leadership skills for boys in the 6th through 12th grades. In addition, Venturing, a challenging, high-adventure program for young men and women, ages 14 through 20 years, is designed to develop leadership skills and to foster good citizenship.
This is Aloka Fernando's (Altar Server Team Captain) Eagle Scout project that he has been working on for approximately 3 months. With the help and instruction from Fr. Billy and David McCloskey along with hours of hard work from fellow scouts, family, and donations from the Knights of Colombus, family, and friends, this project would not be possible.
There will be a special dedication of the Rosary Garden on May 11 following the 4:00 p.m. Mass.
